3D Spacer Loom for Textile and Composite R&D

MPI supplied and installed a research-scale 3D spacer loom for the Department of Weaving at National Textile University, supporting controlled development of spacer structures with technical and high-performance yarns.

3D spacer loom supplied and installed by MPI at National Textile University
National Textile University (NTU) · Faisalabad, Pakistan · Completed 2022

A specialized loom for controlled spacer-fabric development

The delivered SGA598 Spacer configuration was selected for research with a broad range of yarn systems, including carbon, glass, Kevlar, UHMWPE, cotton, polyester and metallic yarns.

Its effective weaving width, multi-frame arrangement, electronic controls and adjustable spacer range give the laboratory a practical platform for developing and evaluating three-dimensional textile structures.
