Industrial R&D, Formulation and Engineering Services in Pakistan
Marjan Polymer Industries helps manufacturers, universities, research teams and industrial organizations solve material, process and equipment challenges. Our work connects applied research, formulation, testing, custom engineering and project documentation under one technical scope.
Technical services
A connected route from an industrial question to a workable result
Technical projects rarely fit into a standard package. A material may need characterization before formulation. A formulation may need a new process, test method or purpose-built machine. A development project may also need cost planning, documentation and a route to pilot or industrial scale.
MPI defines each assignment around the application and the result the client needs. The agreed scope can cover one focused task or combine research, testing, engineering, fabrication and documentation.
Core service areas
Scientific, engineering and project support under one roof
Clients can engage MPI for a single defined service or a connected programme covering several stages.

- Quality checkpoints and operator guidance
Project Engineering and Documentation
Technical and commercial documentation for industrial, research and development projects, including complete PC-I preparation.
- Feasibility, technical scope and specifications
- BOQ, costing and implementation planning
- PC-I preparation and supporting documentation
Testing and analysis
Select the method from the technical question
Testing is planned against the material, sample condition, applicable method and decision the client needs to make. Available facilities cover material characterization, processing behaviour, structure, surfaces and performance.
Thermal and Thermomechanical
TGA, DSC, DMA and TMA for thermal stability, transitions, viscoelastic behaviour and dimensional response.
Chemical and Molecular
FTIR, GPC and HPLC for chemical identification, molecular weight distribution and compositional evaluation.
Structure and Surface
SEM, XRD, particle size analysis and surface profilometry for morphology, phases, size distribution and surface profile.
Mechanical and Dynamic
UTM-based tensile testing, peel and adhesion methods, cross-cut testing and Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar evaluation where applicable.
Rheology and Coating Performance
Rheometer-based flow evaluation, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and selected coating or adhesive performance tests.
Textile and Composite Development
Facilities include 3D sampling and weaving, spacer fabric development, yarn winding, warping and sizing for defined research or process work.
MPI currently provides internal technical test reports. These reports are not issued as accredited laboratory certificates. If accredited results are mandatory, that requirement must be identified before the work is scoped.
Project planning
Complete PC-I preparation for technical and development projects
MPI prepares complete PC-I documentation for projects that require a structured technical, implementation and cost framework. The work is developed around the project objectives, proposed technology, resources and delivery plan.
Preparation can include the project rationale, technical scope, equipment and facility requirements, implementation schedule, BOQ and costing, procurement approach, performance indicators and supporting specifications.
Final review and approval remain with the relevant client and approving authorities.
Working process
A defined route from enquiry to delivery
The work plan changes with the assignment, but every project begins with a clear technical scope.
-
01
Requirement review
We examine the application, existing data, constraints and expected result.
-
02
Scope and method
We define the work, required inputs, methods, deliverables and limitations.
-
03
Written quotation
Commercial terms, timeline and responsibilities are documented before work begins.
-
04
Technical execution
Research, testing, formulation, engineering or documentation proceeds to the agreed plan.
-
05
Review and delivery
Results and deliverables are reviewed against the scope, followed by agreed support.
Ways to work with MPI
Choose the engagement model that fits the requirement
These are working models, not fixed-price subscriptions. A quotation is prepared after the technical scope and deliverables are understood.
Technical Consultation and Feasibility Review
For a defined question, technology choice, material issue, process problem or early project decision.
Typical output
- Technical review and practical options
- Risks, missing information and next steps
- Written recommendations where agreed
Development or Engineering Project
For formulation, testing, a prototype, custom machinery, process development or complete project documentation.
Typical output
- Written scope, milestones and deliverables
- Project-specific technical execution
- Results, equipment or documentation
Ongoing R&D and Technical Partnership
For organizations that need recurring development, evaluation, engineering or technical support across an agreed programme.
Typical output
- Prioritized work plan and review cycle
- Defined access to relevant capabilities
- Periodic reporting and technical coordination

Common questions
Before you send a technical enquiry
The clearest enquiries include the application, expected result, available data and required timeline.
Does MPI work only with clients in Lahore?
No. MPI is based in Lahore and evaluates projects from across Pakistan. International enquiries can also be reviewed where the requirement fits our technical fields and delivery arrangements.
Can MPI develop a custom formulation from a performance requirement?
Yes, subject to technical feasibility and an agreed development scope. Useful information includes the substrate, application method, service environment, target properties, restrictions and any existing benchmark.
Are MPI laboratory reports accredited?
No. MPI currently issues internal technical test reports rather than accredited laboratory certificates. Any mandatory accreditation requirement should be identified before quotation.
Can MPI prepare a complete PC-I?
Yes. MPI can prepare complete PC-I documentation, including the technical scope, implementation plan, BOQ and costing, equipment requirements, schedule and supporting project information. Approval remains with the relevant authorities.
How is the price of a service calculated?
Pricing depends on the technical scope, time, materials, testing, equipment, travel, documentation and deliverables. MPI reviews the requirement and issues a written quotation before work begins.
Can confidential development work be discussed?
Yes. Confidentiality, ownership of results and project-specific intellectual property terms can be documented before detailed technical information is exchanged.
