Multiaxial 3D Weaving Machine
MPI supplied and installed a specialized multiaxial 3D weaving machine for National Textile University, configured for developing multilayer structures with technical fibers such as carbon, glass and Kevlar.
Project in brief
A research machine for multilayer textile and composite preforms
The project delivered a purpose-configured weaving platform for producing three-layer structures with high-performance fibers. The machine combined a large bobbin creel, rigid-rapier weft insertion, dobby shedding and electronically controlled weft selection.
MPI coordinated supply, installation and commissioning so the equipment could be integrated into NTU’s composite and textile research environment.
